My reminder on Life etc..

It's been awhile since I've written. I've been through quite a month, so many things to get done, so little time. There never seem to be enough hours in a day. This time around, I'm gonna work smart and allow myself some time to unwind every week. Life should be simple.

Today is a supposed to be a quiet lazy Sundays, but I'm reading up on cyberlaws in Malaysia. While reading for work, I like to also read for pleasure...and I found this awesome picture that very much describe how we all should view life. Sometimes we need a reminder cos we often forget how simple life should be. A mantra for all on life.

The Island of Gods

I thought I should start this month's posting with some beautiful photos taken in Bali. As I reminisce on the fun I had some two years ago in this Island of Gods. Bali has some of the most spectacular scenes for everyone to enjoy thoroughly. Bali is truly the Island of Gods.

Chester: The Polar Bear

Monday is always a day where we try our best to get back into the rhythm of the working week. Today is especially hard for me cos I had to work during the weekend so I had no recovery time.

I took a break from my work this afternoon and was browsing through amazing Nat Geo shots of animals. They always look so graceful and polished when they appear on the covers of Nat Geo. I wonder why??

That's when I came across Chester: the terribly adorable Polar Bear. Now, he/she is not actually named Chester but I'm gonna name him/her Chester cos he/she does look like an adorable 'Chester' to me & this is my post so I can call this polar bear whatever I wish.
Chester looks so peaceful and I wish I could cuddle up with Chester especially on a cold and rainy day like today.

I was intrigued with Chester and decided a little research is needed to understand 'Chester' and other similar ones.
I discovered that 'Chester' is the world's largest land carnivore and also the largest bear, together with the omnivorous Kodiak bear, which is approximately the same size.

The 'Chesters' of the world are natives within the Arctic circle encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses. Male 'chesters' weighs around 350–680 kg (770–1,500 lb) while an adult female is about half that size.
They are huge beyond words, maybe wanting to cuddle them is not a good idea after all, I could be crushed to death.

The polar bear is classified as a vulnerable species, with 8 of the 19 polar bear subpopulations in decline. So if we are not careful with global warming; the beautiful, graceful 'Chesters' may become extirpated within 100 years.

Forgotten Culture

This post will be on my vacation memories. I've travelled to many places near and far, but today's post will give mention to Penang. With its' beautiful beaches and its' delicious food, people often overlook the fact that Penang has an array of culture to fall back on. The photos selected will focus on the cultural aspects of Penang.

Reflection of Life

Reflection of Life and what it is supposed to be..
God's many creation...and I managed to capture these beautiful place with my humble little Lumix.

This is a shot of the entrance of Uncle Neil's farm in Euroa, Victoria, Australia. I remember this cold winter day in July like it was yesterday. The family had so much fun at the huge farm. I had a blast riding at the back of Uncle Neil's pick-up truck in the farm with Lavie..it was so cold, I couldn't feel my hands but it was an Australian Safari I will never forget.

The sky is of no limit

I truly enjoy taking photos of the sky, everywhere I go. I see so many possibilities in the sky and to be able to capture such beauty is beyond me. I see peace and calmness in the sky and the colours it bring to many lives. Often we see beauty in things around us, but how many times have you look up and cherish the beauty of the sky; what it has to offer you?

These are only some of the few photos taken of the sky while I was walking in Melbourne's Brunswick area during the winter's twilight in July.

Life should be a 'beach'

People say a picture paints a thousand words...so for this post it's all about beautiful scenes I've been so lucky to witness and capture with my humble little Lumix. These are some of the photos taken in Penang during a short break; a week before my birthday.

Art

I believe that some of the most beautiful things are done with passion in the heart and expression of feelings. Like Art. I absolutely love Art. Sometimes I wish I was talented in art but I am not. I was not given that gift. But I'm given the gift of appreciation for everything artsy.
